W. E. Tilley initially settled in the village of Tyrone and in later years moved to nearby Bowmanville. The offspring, Albert Sidney Tilley, his twin brother H. Rolph Tilley, younger brother Wm. N. Tllley and sister Florence grew up in Bowmanville. Albert attended Trinity Medical College in Cobourg and returned to Bowmanville as a family physician. He married Amelia Caroline “Carrie” Tilley in 1900. Their firstborn, Edward Philp Tilley, was born the following year.
Albert 'Ross' Tilley was born in November 24, 1904. A younger sibling, a sister Mary Caryl Tilley was born in 1908 but died in infancy.
Edward followed his Uncles' footsteps and joined his Toronto Law Firm. Ross took after his father, Albert, and entered UofT Medical School in the Class of "29" !
